Applications for Spring full time start are accepted August 1 - October 15. 


The Practical Nursing Program at ASUMH is designed to prepare the student to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. The technical certificate combines classroom instruction with clinical experience. The course of study meets the requirements of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing for practical nursing programs.  The student must maintain a 2.0 grade point average or “C” average or better in all required coursework in order to progress, graduate and be eligible to apply for the National Council of Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).  There is no advanced placement in this program. Previous nursing courses are not accepted in transfer.

The LPN/Paramedic Registered Nursing Bridge Program at ASUMH is designed to prepare the student to become a Registered Nurse.  The Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing degree combines classroom and online instruction with clinical experience.    The course of study meets the requirements of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and has received full approval by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. The student must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher in order to graduate and be eligible to apply for the National Council of Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).  There is no advanced placement in this program.  Students must complete all required nursing courses with a grade of “C” or higher. Previous nursing courses are not accepted in transfer.

TheTraditional Registered Nursing Program at ASUMH is designed to prepare the student to become a Registered Nurse.  The Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing degree combines classroom and online instruction with clinical experience.    The course of study meets the requirements of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and has received full approval by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. The paramedic program at ASUMH is designed to prepare the student to become a Nationally Registered Paramedic and a licensed paramedic in Arkansas. The Paramedic Program combines classroom instruction with lab and clinical experiences. Students will complete the program in approximately 11 months and includes approximately 1,300 hours of lab, clinical, and field internship beginning mid-August and ending at the end of July in the following year.  This option follows the ASUMH academic calendar for the Fall, Spring, and Extended Summer Terms.
